Founded in 2012, the Gourmediterrannée society gathers over 70 chefs and restaurant owners, including Gérald Passédat (le Petit Nice ****), Lionel Lévy (Hôtel Intercontinental – l’Alcyone*), Guillaume Sourrieu (L’Epuisette*) and Philippe Zérah (respectively President, Vice-President and Treasurer), willing to promote the gastronomy and know-how of Marseille and Provence.
Every year several events are being organized : « Food in Sud » in January, the « Club des Sud’Crés » in February and “food lovers strolls” at the Beaupré Castlhttps://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WpcB1dhDqZU/Vt2LaUIrbVI/AAAAAAAABzc/jyVrYCbmkvM/s1600/sardines-525px.jpge in June.
On February 1st, the group met at the Table Cinq restaurant for its second edition of the “Club des Sud’Crés », around the citrus theme. The objective of this meeting was to promote the creativity and know-how of different mediterranean talents such as Clément Higgins (Bricoleur de Douceurs, Marseille), Christophe Bignon (Le Môle Passédat, Marseille), Florian Poëtte (Intercontinental Hôtel Dieu, Marseille)…
The Beaupré Castle is a country house situated 10 kilometers away from Aix-en-Provence in the middle of wooded hillsides of oaks and pines. For 4 generations, the Double family has been managing its vineyards under a policy of rational cultivation and its daily passion and commitment attracted several restaurant owners in the area. Their philosophy convinced the Gourmediterranée chefs to partner with them again on the occasion of the 3rd « food lovers stroll », during which the Chefs will be presenting their culinary creations in harmony with the estate wines in the heart of the vineyards.
Save the date! The next food lovers stroll will be taking place next June on the 18th.
