Our beautiful region is ideal for outdoor sporting activities. Here are just a few suggestions. We hope they will provide you with ideas and an irresistible wish to come and visit us. If you have not yet chosen your summer destination, come to Marseille for dynamic holidays!

• Climb in the “Calanques”

There are a lot of qualified guides and climbers, specialized in the National Park of the ”Calanques.” We have selected two:

– Olivier Michau, professional climber and skipper, will help you discover the richness of this park, on land and at sea. He will guide and introduce you to mythical climbing routes. He also offers canyoning excursions and adventure circuits for all levels.

• Sailing around Marseille

Many organizations offer sailing or other nautical activities around Marseille. The following are some of them, from the most attainable to the more “select.”

– Pacific Palissades rents catamarans, kayaks, windsurfing gear and stand up paddles (SUP). It also offers Optimist courses. Its ideal location at the “Port de la Pointe Rouge” allows a quick and easy launch ramp for the “Voile légère” (light sail). Completed with a club house, it offers a cloakroom, showers, a terrace and a snack-bar.

• Sea kayaking and SUP (Stand Up Paddle)

You wish to discover the creeks of Marseille and Cassis by sea? Choose the kayak or the SUP!

– Kayak Attitude offers kayak and SUP rentals in the bays of Marseille and Cassis, and also courses, excursions and trekkings. Departing from “La Marronaise,” behind “Les Goudes Pointe Rouge” or from Cassis, explore the smaller ports of Provence, the caves and faults in the turquoise waters.

– Glisse pour Tous is an itinerant organization which proposes collective rides with stand up paddle on a half-day or one day basis. Open to all, in diverse sites, you can discover the regional heritage. This practice is dependent on the weather and to ensure the best conditions, there is no calendar, the events are simply scheduled three days before. This is why it is important to subscribe to the e-newsletter to be kept informed of the upcoming events, the initiation sessions and SUP aperitifs.

• Rope park in Cassis

Cassis Forest is an adventure park located near the center of Cassis and its creeks, a few kilometers from Marseille. Seven secured routes are adapted to each age group (adult to child, starting at age two) and their desired level of challenge (difficult, sportive or just for fun). Installed under pine trees, the park proposes up to three hours of activities and more than 160 workshops.

A lot of other outdoor activities are possible such as scuba diving, golf, tennis, paddleball, etc. Hiking and bicycle riding are also great ways to discover our beautiful region. So put on your sneakers, shorts, swim suits, masks and scuba gear!

Of course, if you would like to include one of these activities in your incentive event or team building, we will be happy to organize it! In particular, we will contact one of our providers (Isy Provence) which will concoct a tailor-made activity in the Provence region – from nautical rallies to treks, through “pétanque” and scavenger hunts.
